The Morning Anti-Ageing Routine
Your morning routine has one job: protect skin from the day ahead. Cleanse, hydrate, deliver actives, and seal it all in under SPF. Here’s the PARIDA way.
The 6 steps
Step 1 — Cleanse (60 seconds)
Cleansing Lotion for normal/dry skin, or Cleansing Wash for combination/oily.
Step 2 — Tone (20 seconds)
Toner on a cotton pad. Witch hazel + alcohol-free gentle astringent.
Step 3 — Mist (10 seconds)
Hydrating Mist directly on damp skin. Niacinamide + hyaluronic acid base layer.
Step 4 — Serum (30 seconds)
Omega Serum. Peptides, omega oils, retinol palmitate. Apply to face and neck.
Step 5 — Eye cream (20 seconds)
Eye Cream. Gentle pat — never drag — around the orbital bone.
Step 6 — Moisturiser + SPF (30 seconds)
Day Cream on face and neck. Follow with broad-spectrum SPF 50 (a separate dedicated sunscreen — non-negotiable in South Africa).
Total time: under 3 minutes
Once it’s habit, the routine takes less time than a coffee.
What to skip in the morning
- Retinol — night only
- Heavy occlusive masks — they don’t layer with SPF
- Exfoliants — too sensitising before sun exposure
